Wangthang Gonpa received its foreign visitors in 31-08-2017 for the first time and that too accompanied by Wangthang Rinpoche himself. Spanish visitors must have had a good karmic connection from their past life. With four hours journey by foot to a place where it has hardly earned name, the visits was joyous. The Gonpa is visited by people in locality and it’s rare to find other visitors not to mention about foreigners. Fortunately, Gonpa has opened its door and expecting more in the future so that it helps in spreading the Buddha Dharma. Family of Wangthang Gonpa is extremely sorry to our first visitors for not being able to treat you with great hospitality though we tried our best. Your visit to Wangthang Gonpa is a historic one and we wishes you all a prosperous life ahead. May your visit bring lots of joys to whole sentient beings.
