༄། ཝང་ཐང་དགོན་པ་ལུ་བྱོན་པ་ལེགས་སོ། དགོན་པ་འདི་ འབྲུག་བུམ་ཐང་ ཨུ་ར་གྱི་ཤར་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་ཆགས་འདི་ཡོདཔ་ད་ སྣུམ་འཁོར་ནང་ལས་ ཆུ་ཚོད་ གཅིག་དང་ རྐང་ལམ་ཐོག་ལས་ ཆུ་ཚོད་ གཉིས་ དང་ གསུམ་ ་གྱི་བར་ན་ལུ་ལྷོད་ཚུགས།།
Wangthang Gonpa is located at an altitude of 3687m. The Gonpa is wonderfully situated between Wangthang La and Pugyel Mountain. Wangthang Gonpa is linked with unpaved road and it is 10km away from Ura, Bumthang highway. It takes two to three hours on foot and one hour by Vehicle for commuters to reach Wangthang Gonpa. Wangthang Gonpa was founded by Monla Jigme Kundrol and later it was razed by fire and rebuilt by Tulku Yeshi Dorji alias Wangthang Rinpoche in 1955.
